Sue - United States- Japan Search

This search "Below" was a search for the adopted child now an adult of which we found in Japan! even though she was originally in the U.S.

Well, Paul, we did it! At first, I worried that the whole thing might be blown but I tried to keep the faith that all would work out. I phoned the mom and her husband, Nancy and Wes, and asked for Jessica. Wes says she's not there that Jessica's in Japan. Wow! I said, "Japan! What is she doing in Japan?" and he said she was in the service and would be there for two years. He was very friendly and so I then asked for Lisa. He said that Lisa wasn't there right now, that she was either at work or with her boyfriend and so when I asked when would be a good time to maybe get hold of Lisa, he said he wasn't sure. He then put Nancy on the phone to help me and when she asked who I was, SHE WENT NUTSO!

She had just forwarded Jessica's letter to Japan so at least I Knew she couldn't do anything about that. She said never to call there again and never send any mail, that it would be returned. . . blah, blah, blah and the poor woman was just beside herself. I just kept praying that God would give me strength to be calm and compassionate and patient and reassuring. Her husband finally gets back on the phone and he said that Lisa and Jessica were old enough to make their own decisions about what they wanted... THEN! At 8:18AM today, Jessica called from Japan and it was wonderful! It was beautiful! I wanted to just reach through the phone and squeeze her. We cried and just touched each other's heart as we did and as we shared. Then after almost 3 hours... she had me call my sister to let her know and to call her. So my sister, not knowing who she needed to call, came right over and nearly FAINTED when I told her it was Jessica. She thought it was probably the mom. I did NOT tell her on purpose who she had to call, she just hung up before I could say.

SO WE WERE ON THE PHONE TO JAPAN ANOTHER 3 1/2 hours!!! It was wonderful. You are wonderful. I don't know why you picked me to e-mail to offer your services, but you are our other "internet angel" and we thank you so much for helping out.
