Dear Paul,
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You helped me put the pieces together. With the names, places and things we had to work with it was an amazing trip. The highs and lows of it, not knowing for sure and then to have you lead me through the search the way you did. Sometimes I thought there's not going to be any answers but every time we put our leads and thoughts together we got a little bit further. Even though my search didn't have a fairytale ending, I am so glad that I went through the search process with you. I have started getting to know one of my brothers and his fiancée.This is a start. I don't know if I will ever contact my other siblings but time will tell. I do have to say I miss our phone calls. In the short time we dealt with one another I knew you understood all of my feelings and insecurities. You helped me more than you can know with all of your encouragement and kindness. The fact that you had been an adoptee made me know that you understood me better than anyone else could. I am going to say so long for now because I don't like good-byes. If you work your way over to Chicago please call us, my husband and I would love to meet you and take you out to dinner.
