Adoption Agencies-There are many adoption agencies in the United States. Both public adoption agencies and private adoption agencies exist. Some of the large agencies that have been involved with adoptions throughout the years include Catholic Charities, Catholic Social Services, Lutheran Social
Services, Louise Wise, Spence Chapin, The Willows, Florence Crittenton, Jewish Family Services, Edna Gladney, and Booth Memorial, just to name a few. Many of the agencies provide maternity services to the biological mothers and also many times work with county social services and state adoption agencies, thus facilitating the adoptions.
